Zhangjiagang Bonded Area first Yangtze River whole-car checkpoint port

THE eastern Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area has received whole-car import approval from the State Council and become the first whole-car import checkpoint in Jiangsu province and Yangtze inland rivers, reports Xinhua. 

Zhangjiagang plans to set up a complete whole-car import industrial system providing the services such as loading and discharging, warehousing, inspection, display and trade, whole cars and parts distribution, repacking as well as financial services. It aims to accomplish a whole car imports and exports annual target of 200,000 units over three to five years.

The Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area, located in the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze, is the biggest commercial port of Yangtze River for international trade, connecting over 140 ports around the world with 65 one-million tonnes terminals and over 20 international container shipping lanes.
