Tianjin and Dalian sign cooperation agreement to boost Bohai Rim

TIANJIN Port Group and Dalian Port Group has signed a cooperation agreement, joining in port operation and management, logistics, port investment to boost the economy of the Bohai Rim, Xinhua reports.

Tianjin and Dalian said they will make better use of the favourable location of the Bohai Rim, the preferential policies enjoyed by the region, as well as its hinterland and its logistics networks. The two parties also agreed to cooperate on launch of new shipping routes for domestic and foreign trade, development of free port area and fully apply information technologies.

Being two major ports in northern China and even the north east Asia, Tianjin and Dalian have long been in close partnership in passenger and ro-ro shipping, said the report.
